Pianist and composer Kaja Draksler was born in 1987 in Kranj, Slovenia. She came to the Netherlands and graduated with a bachelor's degree in jazz piano and master's degree in classical composition. Kaja performed in different formations in Europe , Egypt and the United States. She has released already 7 albums as a bandleader/composer, including her solo album. Downbeat wrote: "The young Slovenian pianist Kaja Draksler shows off a wealth of sturdy ideas and nonchalant technique on this stunning solo recording."

Drummer and instant composer Onno Govaert has become an essential part of the Amsterdam jazz scene and is part of the youngest generation of improvisors, making great impression at underground venues such as OT301 and room 100. At a young age Govaert performed with known Dutch jazz musicians. In Amsterdam he developed his own undenieble drumplay in bands like Cactus Truck, with certain international attention. ‘Onno Govaert stokes the band’s fires with spazzy rumbles and unflagging motion’, has been wriiten about him by the Chicago Reader, and de Volkskrant describes his style as ‘full of initiatif and without any inhibitions.’

Pianist en componiste Kaja Draksler werd in 1987 in Kranj, Slovenië, geboren. Ze kwam naar Nederland en studeerde af als bachelor in jazzpiano en master in klassieke compositie. Kaja trad in verschillende formaties op in Europa, Egypte en de Verenigde Staten. Ze bracht maar liefst zeven albums uit als bandleider/componist, waaronder haar solo-album. Drummer en instant composer Onno Govaert is niet meer weg te denken uit het Amsterdamse jazzcircuit en maakt deel uit van de jongste generatie improviserende musici, die van zich doet spreken op undergroundpodia als OT301 en Zaal 100. Al op jonge leeftijd trad Govaert op met met bekende Nederlandse jazzmusici. In Amsterdam ontwikkelde hij zijn niets ontziende spel in bands als Cactus Truck, waarmee hij internationale aandacht krijgt. ‘Onno Govaert stokes the band’s fires with spazzy rumbles and unflagging motion’, schrijft Chicago Reader, en de Volkskrant omschrijft zijn stijl als ‘ initiatiefrijk en zonder remming.’

Het duo speelt vrije improvisatie en gaat het vooral om de ritmische mogelijkheden.
